One of the best bars in all of Chicago, according to Esquire Magazine, sits tucked behind an unassuming glass storefront, shaded by a green awning, and made complete with sweet little, white bistro curtains. This is Bisous, in the buzzing Fulton Market, and it’s got a 1960s Frenchy flair that’ll make you want to sip a martini and drag your toe up a special someone’s shin under the table. It’s the brainchild of the multi-award-winning mixology giant, Peter Vestinos, which may not mean much until you realize he’s quietly behind some of the most celebrated bars in the city. The lights are low, the cocktails whimsical, and the wine list is French, of course. Just look for the signature smooch on the back of your cocktail napkin and you’ll know you’re in the right place.
