Why You’ll Love It
For 98 years, the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade has been a national spectacular that features giant balloons up 100ft in length, intricate parade floats with some of the nation's best vocalists and entertainers, magnificent marching bands and cheerleaders from all over the country, Broadway performances from some of the greatest in the city, and so much more. The parade route begins at 8:30 AM on the west side of Central Park - 77th Street and continues toward 6th Avenue and Herald Square - 34th Street, where the iconic Macy’s department store is located. A bit chilly but worth every second, the whole parade lasts about 3 hours and concludes with a visit from the one and only Santa Claus! So bring the whole family and cuddle in close for warmth, there will be something here for everyone to enjoy.

Shrtlst Team
We recommend heading out as early as possible if you and your party want a prime viewing spot. Some head out as early as 5 AM to line up along the route, so be sure to grab lots of blankets, a warm beverage, and some snacks for any little ones you have with you. Some restaurants along the parade route also offer VIP spots for varying prices, so be sure to inquire with them as well. Finally, this will also be the final Parade hosted by Hoda Kotb, as she announced her departure from the TODAY Show after 2024, so keep an eye out for her and many celebrities who watch the show every year!
