The 79th Street Green Market is every Sunday morning from 9am-4pm all year round. They have vendors selling a variety of items including but not limited to locally grown flowers, produce, cheese, and baked goods. Though the prices are more than what you may pay for in the grocery store, the quality is worth every penny. Details for upcoming vendors can be found at grownyc.org to plan out your visit. For delicious cheeses and other dairy products, Valley Shepherd and Riverine Ranch have an array of great options. American Pride Seafood and Hudson Valley Fish Farm both have delectable, fresh seafood that will put grocery store fish to shame. Any baked goods from Francesca’s will be the perfect treat to sit on a bench and pick on. Across the street from the market on the corner of 77th is the GreenFlea Market which has a great selection of vendors selling clothes, jewelry, kitchenware, and street food.

Indulge in the ultimate Hot Honey Chicken and French Toast—generously portioned to share with a friend. The cakes might look stunning for Instagram, but they don’t match up in flavor or price (take my word for it!). For brunch or drinks, snag a seat at the bar—it’s a cozy spot amidst the bustling crowd. Pro tip: slip to the left where the bar curves for a perfect drink spot away from the chaos. Dinner in the elegant multi-level dining room is a must, offering a chic retro ambiance. Remember, this isn’t casual dining—dress to impress in true NYC style!

Maison Pickle is an eatery brining comforting American classic. Their signature dish is a French Dip, but other meals and cocktails are also worth mentioning. While they run all day, their brunch is my favorite. Beside well-known French Dip, their Croque Madame and Patty Melt are my go-to. For those that have a sweet tooth, you won’t miss with any version of their Challah French Toast. Please note that portions are enormous and would highly suggest splitting them between two people.
