Why You’ll Love It
Baker and Barista is a very intimate bakery-cafe run by two incredibly sweet women, Antonija and Clara. Their Italian and Macedonian roots are evident in the variety of quality baked goods- scones, croissants, babka, sweet and savory danishes, quiche, and the fluffiest sourdough focaccia are just a few. The pastries go fast. But around noon, the pastry display gets a major upgrade as the sourdough sandwiches, pizza, and cinnamon rolls come out.

If you’re into music and feeling explorative after your coffee and pastries, there is an incredible record store called Sweat Records under a 10 minute walk from Baker and Barista. Sweat has an immense variety of global music, and I always find something funky there. You can browse their discogs online or listen to records in the shop, and the staff knows what they’re doing! They are always eager to share some of their own finds and interests.
