Maru is one of only two places I will drink matcha from in LA. If you're a little snobby about your quality, this is the place for you for espresso and tea (aka not bought out and deluded by big corporate groups like Alfred and Bluebottle have). Its located just outside the Maybourne hotel in a very small space if you're staying in Beverly Hills. Its not a coffee shop so don't plan to hang out its an espresso bar, literally. They also have two other locations, one in Los Feliz if you're going to the observatory or park trails and one in downtown LA across the street from the Soho House Warehouse space. The locations themselves tell you a lot about the people who enjoy this!
