That’s right, we’re talking about Halloween in Las Vegas, and nowhere does it like they do. Sin City is where ghouls and goblins of all ages flock to experience unforgettable Halloween parties at the hottest nightclubs, haunted houses that’ll make even the burliest of visitors scream like a baby, and enough treats to fill a king-sized pillowcase.

Scream’d The Musical Parody

For the second year in a row, this hilarious horror movie musical is hitting the stage at the Majestic Repertory Theater, and it is an absolute must-see. The show went a bit viral on TikTok last year with its iconic, early 2000s cover hits and perfectly tongue-in-cheek rendition of the first Scream film. Plus, having all the music be played by a live band with a cast who can belt like no tomorrow doesn’t hurt the vibe. The theater space is small and intimate, making it perfect for creating an immersive experience where the actors can interact with the audience with abandon. The best part of this show is that it is snort-laughingly hilarious with a cast that really knows how to milk a moment for all it’s worth to get the audience rolling. To put it simply, Scream’d is killer. Pun 100% intended. 

Asylum & Hotel Fear

When it comes to pop-up haunted houses in Las Vegas, Asylum & Hotel Fear are the most consistent in town. Created by community volunteers, this Vegas Halloween event draws decent crowds every year waiting to scream their heads off in each of their two mazes.

Fear Factory Las Vegas

Fear Factory at Tivoli Village offers guests four different attractions with varying levels of scare, plus kids between 8 and 18 get in for free, which is a major bonus. Their activities include a zombie axe-throwing experience, the Stride Esports Zone featuring horror-themed video games, photo ops at the Museum of Monsters, and a zombie escape maze complete with live actors and special effects that’ll have guests running for the exit, if they can find it. 

31 Freak Street

31 Freak Street aims to bring some super terrifying extraterrestrial monsters to the desert at its new location in Boulder City. With a theme like “Haunted Flying Saucers,” you really can’t go wrong.

Vegas Theater Company: House on Witch Hill

This new musical set to premiere at the Vegas Theater Co. follows a 15-year-old horror-loving teenager and his band of buddies as they try to build the best haunted house 1985’s Cincinnati has ever seen.

Sin City Halloween Ball

Every club on The Strip throws a Halloween party, but the Sin City Halloween Ball is the Las Vegas Halloween party to rival all parties. Once called the Fetish & Fantasy Ball before its name change, this ultra sexy, high-energy rager has been named one of the Top 10 Events in the World by the Travel Channel, The World’s Wildest Halloween Party by Bizarre Magazine, and one of the Top 5 Events to Attend Before You Die by Maxim Magazine. 

Not only does everyone show up in their most barely-there costumes to dance the night away to multiple DJs, but there are also eye-poppingly erotic acts that include fire performers, shibari demonstrations, the glistening abs of the Aussie Heat dancers, hook suspension acts, and so much more. Their tickets for this unforgettable event at the Virgin Hotels Theater range from top-tier VIP options complete with tables and bottle service to a special discounted local ticket. Fremont Street Rock of Horror

This Las Vegas Halloween block party is the ultimate Samhain celebration, and the best part is that it's completely free to enjoy. Fremont Street Rock of Horror turns this historic Sin City street into a ghoulish celebration of all things horrifying in the funnest way possible. Their Viva Vision Light Show and stage performances are themed for the entire month of October, but for the best spectacle, you’ll want to come during Halloween weekend when the real rock and roll terrors come out to play. Events include multiple stages featuring live bands, horrific decorations, variety acts, street performers, and a costume contest with a decent chunk of change as the prize.

Kid-Friendly Halloween Events in 2024

Sin City may have a hard, scantily-clad exterior, but at its gooey candy center, it’s a great spot for some kid-friendly Halloween fun with plenty of activities for the whole family. So grab the kids and head to one of these Las Vegas Halloween events that are great for kids of all ages.

Moapa Valley Corn Maze

This one may take a bit of a drive, but it’s a fantastic day trip for the family. This kid-friendly Halloween event includes hay rides, a petting zoo, a pumpkin/watermelon patch, and, of course, the massive corn maze. If you’ve got tweens and teens, consider heading there at night to check this place out when it’s haunted by monsters and ghosts waiting to jump out. They have multiple scary activities, including the haunted corn maze, a haunted hayride, zombie paintball, and the Shriek Shack. None of these options are particularly gruesome, making it perfect for kids old enough to experience the scarier side of the holiday.

Hallow-Reef

The Shark Reef Aquarium at Mandalay Bay becomes a family-friendly haunted shipwreck for the Halloween weekend, complete with trick or treating, spooky decor, and later hours for some nighttime fun.

Gilcrease Orchard

As the only apple orchard in Las Vegas, Gilcrease is the perfect place for daytime Halloween fun within city limits. Their fall harvest includes pumpkin picking, a corn and hay maze, and a wagon ride. Visitors also won’t want to miss out on their to-die-for homemade apple cider and donuts! Make sure to snag tickets online before you go because they aren’t available at the door.

Haunted Harvest Springs Preserve

Take your kiddos trick or treating at this kid-friendly Las Vegas Halloween event that includes themed trick-or-treat stations, live entertainment, and the Boo!town Haunt. Reservations are required, and there is plenty of free parking.

Halloveen at the Magical Forest

This family Halloween event fills the 2.5-acre theme park with trick or treating, spooky decor, carnival games, and rides, with all the proceeds going to Opportunity Village and its mission of helping those with disabilities.

Your tour guide will take you through multiple rooms filled with chilling artifacts like the cursed Dybbuk box, the cauldron of serial killer Ed Gein, and The Devil’s Rocking Chair.

Escape IT

If you’re scared of clowns, you may want to skip this one because Escape IT pits you against the creepiest clown of all time while forcing you to solve puzzles to escape his kid-eating clutches. Based on the blockbuster films IT and IT Chapter 2, this terrifying escape room covers 30,000+ square feet of space and features 20+ interactive rooms. Each one is extremely immersive and is basically movie set quality, taking visitors through the most iconic locations from the films, including the Neibolt House, the Losers’ Clubhouse, and the sewers below Derry. Oh, and did we mention that they have live actors who are there to both help you and scare you so bad you’ll need a new pair of pants? Because they do, and you will.

SAW and Blair Witch Escape Room

This is one of the largest escape rooms in the world, filled with terrifying sights from both the SAW franchise and The Blair Witch movie that changed the game in horror filmmaking. Sliced Pizza

Fans of horror movies and pizza alike will love this scary-themed pizzeria located near The STRAT. The interior is filled with statues of famous monsters like Frankenstein and his wife, Art the Clown, and the Wolfman standing next to a collection of pinball machines, arcade games, and vintage fortune teller machines. Their pizzas are all perfectly themed with names like the Leatherface Meat Pizza and the Buffalo Bill Chicken Pizza, each of which has a jet-black pizza crust for a little extra flair.
