Why You’ll Love It
Southern comfort food has never been more sophisticated than the dishes served at Virtue in Hyde Park. Led by Chef Erick Williams, Virtue is his first solo project where he combines his love for Southern cooking with the history and art that surrounds food culture. His work with Virtue earned him the James Beard Award for Best Chef: Great Lakes, making him the first Black chef ever to win the category.
Virtue's menu features expected classics like cornbread, mac and cheese, and green tomatoes alongside dishes that are just as classic to comfort food connoisseurs but are more adventurous for those unfamiliar with the cuisine. But no matter what dish is chosen, everything on the menu is delicious, with a warm, comforting vibe that can only be found in the most passionate kitchens.
