Why You’ll Love It
This family and female-owned barbecue joint was founded on a legacy of deliciousness, and they aren't stopping anytime soon. Owners LeAnn Meuller and her wife Alison Clem opened la Barbecue in 2012 using recipes from LeAnn's James Beard Award-winning father. LeAnn then put a spin on these passed-down recipes to create something all her own. She keeps everything on the savory and spicy side, with specialties like housemade pickles, perfectly seasoned sausages, and brisket cooked low and slow using only grass-fed beef from a local ranch.
This counter service spot is casual with a quirky charm. Where there are barbecue sauce bottles on every table, a large outdoor patio ideal for digging in with abandon, and colorful decor with plenty of personality.

The battle for best BBQ will never end. We like la Barbecue for their personal approach to the craft - their recipes are family driven, and exclusive to their restaurant. The owner's Father won a James Beard Foundation Award in 2006, so stellar food definitely runs in the family.
