About

I am originally from the suburbs outside of Los Angeles but have lived in the city longer now than I have not (21 years). When I first came to the city, I was a musician for hire as I slowly grew my photography career. My first big step came as an assistant for David LaChapelle, with whom I worked for many years. From that point, I expanded on my own to many creative, celebrity, and advertising works and today own and operate a production company. During my time of growth, I was able to secure ongoing work with the former restaurant review guide, Zagat which exposed me to so much travel, amazing food and culture which has impacted me greatly to this day. Prior to covid, I travelled about 200 days a year for work around the globe to places such as Zimbabwe, Japan, India, Jakarta and across Europe. I even traveled to the most remote island in the North Pole, Devon Island where the Mars Rover is tested. Travel has expanded my palette for food and wine immeasurably. I have always had a passion for wine since my youth learning through my Uncle who had a massive cellar and a love of sharing his knowledge. From here, my love grew as a young fine dining server at an upscale Italian restaurant where basic somm training was all but required before I set out to Los Angeles. Once covid hit, my life and work changed drastically as I was suddenly locked up at home like all of us. During this time, I embarked on a new adventure of studying wine more formally. I entered the WSET program and finished at the graduate level. My love for wine is also shared by my wife who was also raised in a household deeply embedded in the culture. We live today in Coldwater Canyon with our poodle son, Burt.
