La Popular is a casual, trendy restaurant that get's pretty fun and loud as the evening goes on! They offer happy hour on weekdays starting at 4 pm so try to get there during that time for discounted margaritas and appetizers.

Palette is a home run as some of the highest quality dim sum in town. This Chinatown spot aims to create an artistic experience for diners, where their dishes are colorful and beautifully presented. The Shanghai soup dumplings, called xiaolongbao (dragon treats), come in a spoon where you bite the dumpling and then drink the soup. They also have multiple menu items shaped like birds for a whimsical touch to each meal.

In most restaurants, you get vinegar and scallions to pour on the dumplings, which can be a messy process. I’ve never seen ANYONE in the world create vinegar caviar. These little balls made of vinegar and scallion melt the second they hit the dumpling and are the perfect ratio. My other favorites are the wagyu beef fried rice, the coffee ribs served in a coffee cup and doused in a coffee-flavored sauce, and the Mapo tofu, which is a vegan dish made of a tofu brick paired with Impossible meat and a crispy noodle base. 

Being close to the Palms this would pair well with Mabel's BBQ or La Popular! Keep in mind they close pretty early, 8 through the week and 8:30 p.m. on the weekends, so plan with enough time to entertain your group. And don't worry, they accept credit card as well as cash!
