While there are several locations of this thrift shop throughout LA (and even more across the USA), the Santa Monica location, right on Main Street, always seems to have the best selection. This may be it's due to the higher caliber fashion on the West Side, but this store has everything from true designer and luxury brands to the most obscure styles, all at crazy discounted prices.

LA is known for its farmer's markets, but the best of the bunch has to be the Brentwood Farmer's Market. A large selection of fairly reasonable prices (given the ritzy area) coupled with ultra-fresh and interesting produce from local farmers brings people from all over. However, don't just stop to grab ingredients for your Sunday meal, their vendors offer baked goods, empanadas, coffee, and so much more. Making it a great spot for spending half a day perusing through the stalls.
